Google Home Integration
Google Home users have the ability to connect their smart oil gauge to their Google Home account. You will be able to ask Google for updates on your tank level, when you will need a fill, etc. To setup this feature, please ensure that you have a google home device linked to your google account.
Linking your Smart Oil account via Assistant Tasks
To start off, open up the google home app on your mobile device. From there, click on your profile on the top right of the screen and select “Assistant Settings”. Once you have opened up your assistant settings, scroll down and select “Explore”.
After opening up the explore option, type into the search bar “Smart Oil Gauge” and the option will to connect your smart oil gauge to come up. You can select it and hit “Try it” to add the task to your google home.
Google with then ask to link your Smart Oil Gauge account to your google account. Simply allow Google and the Smart Oil Gauge to link their accounts and you will be able to start talking to the gauge on your google home device!
Linking your Smart Oil account via Google Home Speech
Alternatively, you can set up your account by speaking to google. Simply say “Google, talk to smart oil gauge.”
Smart Oil Gauge will then ask how it can help. Ask Smart Oil Gauge “How much Oil is in my tank?”
Google Home will proceed to inform you that your google account is not linked to your smart oil gauge account. It will then ask you if it can send an activation link to your google home account. Simply log into your smart oil gauge from account and your account will be linked and you will be able to speak to your google home device!
What to ask Google Home:
“Hey Google, talk to smart oil gauge”
“How much oil is in my tank?”
“When will I need oil?”
“How much Oil have I used today?”
